Joy In Learning offers child care for School Age children at these locations only: Columbia, Glen Burnie Park, and Whispering Woods. School age children are classified as 5 years to 10 years of age.

Joy In Learning can offer transportation arrangements to some of the local elementary schools. It is necessary to call each center directly to check transportation arrangements for your child's particular school. Additional charges apply for Joy In Learning transportation.

During the school year, Joy In Learning accepts school age children at 6:30a.m., and provides care from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Glen Burnie Park and Whsipering Woods; 3:00 - 6:30 p.m. at Columbia. When schools are closed, Joy In Learning will accommodate the school age children, but additional charges do apply.

In the summer time, Joy In Learning provides a structured summer program comprised of fun themes to meet the social, physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of each child. Activities involve technology, arts and crafts, fieldtrips, and water play. The activities are planned for Summer 2007!  Some of the fieldtrips include: local parks, National Zoo, Raven's Training Camp, Chesapeake Water Park, swimming, Baltimore Museum of Industry,Bowling, Skating,Medieval Times, Rainforest Cafe, Pirate Adventure, Kyoto's Hibachi Grill, Movies, Museum of Dentistry, Baltimore Aquarium.  The summer fees and activities do vary by location, so please call the Center closest to you for more details.
